Below are simple steps for Windows 10, Windows 11, and the latest Mac OS. These instructions will help you gather your files, place them in a single folder, and compress that folder into a zip file that can be sent by email.
Windows 10 and Windows 11
Step 1. Create a new folder
- Right click on your desktop or inside any location where you want the folder to be.
- Select New.
- Select Folder.
- Give the folder a name you will remember.
Step 2. Add your photos and videos
- Open the folder where your photos and videos are stored.
- Select the files you want to send.
- Right click and choose Copy.
- Open your new folder and right click inside it.
- Choose Paste.
Step 3. Create a zip file
- Right click on the folder you created.
- Select Send to.
- Select Compressed zipped folder.
- A new zip file will appear in the same location.
Step 4. Attach the zip file to your email
- Open your email service.
- Start a new message.
- Choose the option to attach a file.
- Select the zip file you created.
- Send your email.
